Lionel Ricou is the founder of Access Public affairs & Communications. He has worked for over twenty years in communications, including twelve years in public affairs and lobbying. He has been a senior consultant in a Swiss public relations firm and while at a major national health organisation based in Berne, he created and ran its policy department.

He has successfully guided his clients despite their very different fields, from transport, energy, health and consumer goods to multinationals, culture, law, finance, media and land planning. He has also worked for SMEs, multinationals, public administration agencies, semi-public bodies, associations and campaign committees.

For the last 12 years, Lionel has been a member of the Swiss Society of Public Affairs and also acted as its vice chairperson. He is also a member of the “Société Romande de Relations Publiques”.

Lionel’s education encompasses institutes situated in Geneva and Zurich. He holds a Master of Political Science and a Master of Arts from the University of Geneva. At the University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration, Zurich, he completed a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Public Affairs Management.

Passionately committed to the betterment of his community, Lionel is a city councillor in Geneva, a director with the Geneva Home Care Institution and a member of honour of the Economy Silver Circle. He currently leads the ‘Public Affairs’ module for the Digital Public Relations Diploma of Advance Studies at the University of Geneva.
